Are you overwhelmed by your home and ready to make a move? Are you craving a different lifestyle than your current home offers? Do you want a smaller mortgage? There are many different reasons to move, but for baby boomers the reasons can be varied and dependent on mobility, budget, and desired lifestyle. Not everyone wants a smaller home. Sometimes it’s more about location or amenities than it is about square footage. That’s why it’s called “Rightsizing”, or rather, finding the right sized home for you. In their Rightsizing your Home class, John and Becky Durham will help you identify the reasons you want to rightsize and guide you through what to expect as you prepare your current home for market and how to search for your next home.
In Rightsizing Your Home, they will discuss:
- Current housing market conditions
- Identify housing options available for seniors
- Availability of listings in various price points by community
- How to get the best price & terms
- Current interest rates, future projections and how this may impact you
- Preparing your home for market (updates, staging, curb appeal)
- Choosing the right agent to represent you

Note: While these classes are offered through Hudson WI Community Education, they are open to home owners in MN or WI (you don’t have to be a Hudson, WI resident to register.) John and Becky are licensed in both MN & WI and can offer their expertise to homeowners on both sides of the St. Croix River.
